A little about us...

At La Dixmeresse we have three buildings – our house, formerly a tithe barn dating from 1460, the 18th-century farmhouse which houses our meeting room and our two gîtes for 2/4 people and the other for 6/8 people, and then the 1834 mansion in which we have our 5 guest rooms.

We can't wait to welcome you here!

After 26 years of moving back and forth between the Paris region and Belgium, here we are in the Loire Valley!  We are a franco-british couple, Charles and Géraldine with three grown-up children and we love meeting people and good food, which are among the reasons for this new adventure at La Dixmeresse.

A few words from Géraldine – “I’m from the north of France and I love creating, whether it is through sewing or other arts and crafts, but I especially love cooking, have taken the french CAP cooking course and worked for many years in food-related jobs.  I hope you will enjoy with my creations.”

And Charles – “From franco-british origins I have been living in mainland Europe for 28 years now.  I love movies and sport (watching mostly) apart from golf which I attempt to play…I’m currently discovering the amazing Loire wines and hopefully I will put together a wine selection for you that will do justice to Géraldine’s cuisine!”

We look forward to sharing all this with you at La Dixmeresse!
